Predefined Race

displays a list of all predefined races. Select a listed race or select ???Random??? to let Stars! design a new race to fill that position. Select Expansion player to create a random, potentially human controlled computer player that is currently inactive. The host may assign these player positions to players entering the game after it has started. Until that happens, the expansion players do generally passive things like conduct research.

Custom Race

designs a new race or loads a custom race. Select New... to design and save a customized race, and add it to the game. Select Open... to add an existing custom race to the game.

Edit Race...

appears only when a human controlled race is selected. Choosing this item takes you into the Custom Race wizard.

Computer Player

displays a list of all computer generated races. Select a race and a proficiency level.

No Player

clears that position.
